The Barack Obama Presidential Campaign had the pleasure of hosting Gioia’s performance at a Cambridge, Massachusetts grassroots fundraiser on Sunday, 19th October 2008. The feedback from his performance was extremely positive. The audience enjoyed his original music from his album “Create It Together” and much more. Gioia’s songs and lyrics are an echo of Barack Obama’s message of “Change, can’t happen without you”.
Gioia possesses, in our opinion, the best qualities in an artist and political activist: genuine artistic creativity, an honest message of hope, and a passionate respect for expressing that great things are possible when we come together around a common purpose.
Indeed, I highly recommend Gioia as an outstanding artist whose unique multimedia art is representative of his entertaining and energetic voice.
