Gioia kicked off July with a bang as he finished a brand new mix of "Flawless", the title track of his new CD. Listen to it right here on the music player.

June

Moving right along, Gioia's inspirational track "Angel on your Shoulder" has been chosen as the theme song for the "Relay For Life" cancer fundraiser event happening on June 5th in Pelham, NH at Harris Field. On June 5th, Gioia will be performing at the Teddy Bear Festival in New Milford, Connecticut at 1pm.

On June 19th, Gioia will be performing outdoors in Harvard Square at the "Make Music Cambridge" festival. Joining Gioia on stage will be the talented, Lynn Hajjar. Lynn's sultry vocals can be heard on two of Gioia's new tracks, "Angel on your Shoulder" and "the Fire Rages On". Time of performance TBA. It's sure to be a great day of sunshine and music so we hope to see you there !

It's May and Gioia is a busy man putting the finishing touches on his soon to be released digital download LP "Flawless"! Gioia has been locked away at Surefire Music recording studio, perfecting every last detail of every song. He's committed to releasing an album that will move his fans and take all of us to a new place. The new release date is June 15th. So mark it down Gioia fans, it won't be long!  

In the meantime, in between writing, recording and mixing, Gioia has done interviews for girl.com.au/, femail.com.au/, popolio/ and the Father's Day edition of Parents and Kids magazine http://www.wickedlocalparents.com/,, along with pending reviews of "Flawless" by skopemag.com/ and the noise-boston.com/. All articles will be published over the next few weeks. In addition to all this, later this month Gioia will be photographed by high fashion photographer, Erik Garcia, (http://www.erikgarcia.com/). Also contributing to the photo shoot will be two super talented women; fashion consultant, Terry Wheaton http://www.modelmayhem.com/1440602 and hair stylist Janeen Jones  http://www.simplyjaneenstyle.com/. According to Gioia, the photos will be far beyond the standard head shot fare. "We have a great team and we're going for a shot that will definitely get your attention. Trust me on that! The shoot will be a statement of what I've survived and where I'm going. It's April and there's more Gioia news! Entertainment writer, Diana Olson (Skope Mag contributor, Bill Lordan's autobiography and much more) has written a piece about Gioia that will be featured on rarwriter.com. Gioia's music will soon be featured on the fledgling Internet radio station, Rock Capital Radio (http://rockcapitalradio.com/) Rock Capital Radio is based in Cleveland, Ohio and is dedicated to promoting Independent Artists and Original Music from musicians not only from Northeast Ohio but from all over the world . So give them a listen and become a fan of the future of radio!

The month of April has started out with a bang for Gioia! In just the first week, the Nashua Telegraph ran a full page feature story about Gioia and his music in their Encore Entertainment section. On the opposite page of Gioia was a full page article about Tony Orlando and his current tour. Gioia was more than happy to share the spotlight with him! Later in the week, Gioia's new CD "Flawless" was slotted for reviews by Skope Magazine, Boston's own music mag-"The Noise" and the very popular Aussie website site Girl.com and it's sister site Femail.com. Exciting! And to close out the seek, Gioia was interviewed by up and coming music blogster Freddie Rodriguez for a live podcast to be featured in May on Popolio.com. Wow and there's still 3 weeks to go in April! So stay turned for more Gioia news and posting dates of all reviews and the podcast!

Gioia's myspace page has just topped 25,000 fans !!! Thank you !!!!

On Thursday, April 1st, Gioia's latest track, "Positivity" featuring Susan Smith and S-Cal will be available for online listening. www.myspace.com/gioiamyspace

Also on April 1st, Gioia, his music and his story, will be featured in the Nashua Telegraph newspaper and website. Be sure to check it all out!

The release of Gioia's new digital LP, "Flawless" is now scheduled for April 10th. Stay tuned for more updates. 

Coming this spring, Gioia will be featured in two of Australia's most popular on-line magazines, Girl.com.au and Femail.com.au. Both websites will offer a feature story and interview of Gioia along with a review of Gioia's new LP "Flawless". Both Girl.com.au and Femail.com.au are free on-line magazines for everyone to enjoy and they are two of the most visited websites by Australian woman. Check back later this month for posting dates!

In April, a human interest story featuring Gioia and his music will be published in the local monthly news magazine, the Billerica Green. Track Update: "the Fire Rages On"

Vocal production for the song has just been completed at Surefire Studios (Lowell, Ma.) and accompanying Gioia are the sultry vocals of Lynne Hajjar. Assisting in Lynne's vocal production was composer/arranger, Felix Quinones who brought a wealth of musical talent and ideas to the session. "The Fire Rages On", written by Gioia, Marc Soucy and Jared Hancock, is a compelling track focusing on the destruction of the rain forest and our responsibility to protect Mother Earth. Fittingly, Lynne’s vocal session was awe-inspired by Mother Nature herself as Lynne recorded her vocals in the mist of a strong-willed winter storm that unleashed hurricane-force winds and rain on most of New England. The storm caused severe flooding while knocking down trees and power lines. Nearly 1000,000 New Englander’s lost their electrical service including those surrounding Surefire, yet the studio’s electrical power remained, almost as if Mother Nature approved of the songs healing message. While Gioia and the team recorded throughout the stormy night blue lightning colored the sky, Surefire’s lights flickered, and everybody held their breath as Lynne added her beautiful and haunting vocal presence to the deeply moving piece. In the end, even Surfire couldn’t escape Mother Nature’s wrath as Gioia and friends wandered around the darken studio with flashlights in hand, lighting the way as Mother Nature continued her justifiable rage…..The track will be available for on-line listening March 15th.

Gioia is in the studio recording the track "the Fire Rages On" for his soon to be released "Flawless" CD. The focus of the song is environmental awareness, as the lyrics highlight the destruction of the rain forest. The song has a world beat flavor and stands out as being very different from the other tracks on the LP. For Mother Earth, Gioia hopes this track makes a meaningful impact. "Personally, I'm tired of the endless debate regarding the merits of global warming", Gioia states." Regardless of whether global warming is occurring or not, our planet is still facing unprecedented mass environmental destruction through the polluting of our oceans and drinking water, deforestation and species eradication. I hope this track can create awareness of these issues and spurs a response beyond sympathy by it's listeners. What is needed is peaceful action that shows our world leaders we want solutions not politics". Stay tuned for the release of "Flawless" on Feb 20th, 2010.
